May Wrap Up

Heartstopper vol. 1 by Alice Oseman – 5 stars I’ve read pieces of this comic on Tumblr, but this was the first time I’ve read any of it in the proper order. It’s an adorable story, and I can’t wait to read the next volume!

Tales from the Hinterland by Melissa Albert – 4 stars This is the book of fairy tales from The Hazel Wood, and I was so excited for it. The illustrations are lovely (and the cover!), and the stories themselves are a lot of fun. A few of them went on too long in my opinion, but it’s a great collection overall.

Books Promiscuously Read: Reading as a Way of Life by Heather Cass White – 2 stars I received an ARC, but NetGalley had it mislabeled as a memoir. It’s not, and it ultimately wasn’t the book for me. A review will be coming in July when it is released.

Radio Silence by Alice Oseman – 4 stars I read this for the Forgotten YA Gems book club and really enjoyed it. Oseman takes on several difficult topics, including depression, anxiety, emotional abuse, and the academic pressures teenagers face. Full Review
