First, Become Ashes by K. M. Szpara – 4 stars A dark read that features cults, sadomasochism, and magic that may or may not be real. I enjoyed it, but it’s certainly not the book for everyone. Trigger warning: physical, mental, and sexual abuse, rape, and a lot of other disturbing stuff.
None Shall Sleep by Ellie Marney – 5 stars A fantastic YA thriller with an absolute bad-ass female protagonist who is also allowed to be vulnerable. And also a Hannibal-esque teen serial killer. Always a plus, you know. Full Review
